berlin is testing

there are hundreds of COVID-19 test stations in berlin. through this photo series, photographer anna baptist captures some of these uncommon spaces in berlin, testifying the city’s madness.

like the metropolis itself, the facilities are unconventionally innovative. among modified christmas market stalls, garden sheds, kebab stands, bakeries, or corner pubs, under tents and single-family homes, berlin’s creative spirit is on display. all images by anna baptist

who would have thought two years ago that commercial spaces would be turned into test stations? from pizzerias to nightclubs, we see the city of berlin being transformed for the sake of the pandemic.  besides interior spaces, there are also outdoor structures that serve as test centers. austria-born photographer wanders the streets of berlin, capturing this craziness. 

undoubtedly, hovering among berlin, creative spirit is evident.
